Worship
Our most sacred hour of the week is our gathering for worship each Sunday morning. The worship style is simple and sacred. Our worship seeks to be honest and holistic. We intentionally incorporate art, large visuals, multiple musical instruments, and spoken elements in worship. We follow the Christian calendar year (Revised Common Lectionary) to help us stay connected to the wider body of Christ.
Our pews bend inward to each other. This allows a sense of togetherness and unity. The pastors sits among the congregation because we believe the sermon and worship elements of the service come from a deep love and knowledge of the people within the room.
Our worship is guided by our three core words: thoughtful, intentional, and creative.
Children in worship
Children and babies are 100% invited to participate in the 10:30am worship service. We also offer Nursery Care and preschool classes for birth- 5 years. Every Sunday Pastor Skye invites all the children to the front steps of church for Children’s Sermon. Additionally, kid-friendly activity binders are available in the Narthex to be enjoyed during the service.
baptism and communion
We practice the acts of believers baptism and communion. Baptism is a party so we often hold this event as a singular activity (in the Chesapeake Bay) or have a church-wide party after a baptism service. Communion is celebrated monthly and features several modes of receiving the elements. We want each of these moments to be memorable and meaningful.
Music and Art in Worship
We believe that God is always creating. Our worship is infused with personal touches from our own artwork, music, and poetry. Worship is a reflection of what we believe about God. We pursue excellence in each aspect of our worship service.

Prayer with Deacons
We give all of our congregation a chance to respond to God towards the end of our service. Deacons are positioned at two designated points in the sanctuary to offer prayer for anyone. The deacons are here to serve your spiritual needs. Do not hesitate to ask for prayer!
